Scope
All companies, entities, trademarks, métiers, departments, distribution networks of the Hermes Group within the Territory.
Mission
Perform a variety of legal activities in accordance with the highest standards of the legal profession to protect the company’s reputation and business interests and help ensure it complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
Bring to all companies of the Hermes Group in Greater China support and legal advice appropriate concerning questions mainly (but not exclusively) in the following areas: corporate, real estate, competition, retail, distribution and consumption, production, services, IT, data, compliance and communication.
Ensure legal service to stores and OP team and organize legal trainings.
Monitor and supervise legal compliance in these areas and the management of all related dispute.
Answer all questions within the competence of the Group Legal Department and handling any mission that may be entrusted by the General Counsel Greater China.
Responsibilities:
Negotiating, drafting, reviewing all kind of agreements and contracts. Prepare and/or review legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters (for example loans, leases, purchase agreements, software/IT, Design contracts etc.) to protect the company’s legal and business interests and to ensure all documents comply with the Law.
Providing advice and counsel on broad legal matters within the scope, including: corporate, real estate, competition, retail, distribution and consumption, production, services, IT, data, compliance and communication.
Providing full scope legal support to the brands in the Hermes family.
Managing the general compliance matters, including but not limited to trainings, investigations etc.
Handling and advising on cases, issues, or concerns regarding dispute resolution, risk management, compliance etc.
Enabling the business growth and working closely with the other departments of the company to achieve the goal.
Working closely with the other members of the regional and global Legal Department.
Supporting General Counsel Greater China for all legal matters relating to the Mission in Greater China.
Assist in and provide other legal support requested by the General Counsel Greater China.
Requirements
Bachelor and/or master in Law from a domestic prestigious university, overseas legal education would be a plus
Chinese bar qualification is a must
At least 8 years’ P.R.C. solid and proven working experience as legal counsel in multi-national companies and/or solicitors’ firms Experience in retail sector is a plus
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin highly essential, French language would be a plus
Good knowledge of commercial law and corporate legislations and the ability to read, analyse and interpret legal documents, and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in English and in Mandarin
Good writing, presentation, negotiation and influential skills
Good time management skills and qualities of adaptation, creativity, fast-learn, agility.
Ability to work effectively with broad range of people and personalities with diversity
