Commercial Legal Counsel (5+ Years’ PQE)
Mainly remote (ad-hoc in-office requirements London, UK).
This is a fixed term 6 month contract and candidates must be available to start immediately.
About the Company:
Our client is a global network of higher education institutions across Europe, and North America.
Key Responsibilities:
– Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., IP licenses, service agreements, partnership agreements).
– Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure agreements meet commercial and legal standards.
– Lead negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners.
– Manage external counsel and corporate service providers.
– Handle a diverse workload, including commercial contracts, IP, litigation, and property matters.
– Provide corporate and M&A support, with experience in company law (banking/capital markets experience is a bonus).
Ideal Candidate:
– 5+ years’ PQE from a City or nationally recognized firm.
– Strong commercial experience, excellent academics, and ability to manage complex matters.
– Thrives in fast-paced, client-facing environments and demonstrates entrepreneurial teamwork.
– Skilled at mentoring junior team members.
