Our client, a global Marketing Technology company is seeking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Dublin operation.
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in managing and advising on a wide range of legal and commercial matters, with a primary focus on IT agreements, commercial contracts, compliance, data privacy, and support on corporate initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Product, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure our contracts and legal strategies align with business goals while mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including IT/SaaS agreements with customers and partners globally.
Work directly with business teams, providing day-to-day advice, serving as legal counsel on new strategic deals and business models.
Provide strategic legal advice on commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Advise on data privacy and security matters, including compliance with GDPR.
Support provided on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement legal policies, playbooks, and best practices for contract management.
Assist in managing intellectual property matters
Oversee dispute resolution and litigation matters as needed, working with external counsel where necessary.
Monitor and analyse legal developments affecting the SaaS industry and provide proactive recommendations to the business.
Requirements & Qualifications
Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company.
Strong experience in negotiating and drafting IT agreements and other commercial contracts.
In-depth knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and regulatory frameworks affecting SaaS businesses.
Familiarity with intellectual property is a plus.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Business-oriented mindset with a proactive and practical approach to legal issues.
