The Role
We’re hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to join our high-growth team at Bridgit. In this broad in-house role, you’ll provide legal advice across corporate law, M&A, governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support strategic projects, and help shape scalable legal frameworks for our growing business.
What You’ll Do
Provide legal advice across corporate law, M&A, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, including partnerships and vendor agreements.
Support capital raising activities and advise on board and shareholder matters.
Ensure compliance with financial services regulations and engage with regulators as needed.
Advise on IP, privacy, and technology-related legal issues.
Collaborate with internal teams on legal aspects of projects and mitigate legal risk.
What we’re looking for
Admission to practice law in Australia with a current practicing certificate.
10+ years of post-admission experience in corporate law, preferably with exposure to M&A, finance, and technology sectors.
Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A commercial and solutions-oriented mindset, with a willingness to embrace new challenges, think creatively, and help reinvent traditional legal and business approaches.
Desirable – Experience in the finance or lending sector, along with exposure to employment law and workplace matters.
