Pecca Group Berhad is a leading automotive upholstery manufacturer and a public-listed company known for innovation, quality, and strong industry partnerships. We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support our growing business operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on contracts, corporate transactions, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, legal documents, and company policies.
- Ensure the Group’s business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory developments affecting the organization.
- Handle legal matters including mergers & acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and corporate exercises.
- Manage and oversee litigation, disputes, and claims in coordination with external counsel.
- Review and update company policies and governance frameworks periodically.
- Act as liaison with regulators, authorities, and relevant industry bodies.
- Support legal aspects of special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to safeguard the Group’s interests.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate/commercial law.
- Open for experienced retired legal practitioner.
- Experience in public-listed company environment or legal practice is an advantage.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Familiar with Malaysian corporate laws, regulatory compliance, and governance.
- Experience in handling M&A, corporate exercises, and litigation matters.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently
