Key Responsibilities
- Advise senior management and business teams on commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment and operational legal matters.
- Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, tenders, strategic partnerships and other business-related contracts.
- Identify legal, contractual and compliance risks and recommend practical measures to protect the organisation’s interests.
- Support regional data privacy and governance matters, including policies, regulatory compliance and risk controls.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, HR, IT and Operations to provide practical legal guidance on business initiatives.
- Manage external legal counsel, disputes, litigation and regulatory matters across relevant jurisdictions.
- Assist with corporate governance, board-related matters, company secretarial requirements and regulatory filings.
- Develop and improve legal policies, processes and compliance frameworks to support operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Degree in Law and qualified to practise in a recognised jurisdiction, with at least 8–10 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, corporate advisory, regulatory compliance and legal risk management.
- Exposure to data protection, privacy, governance or DPO-related responsibilities will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice.
- Proficient in English; Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage due to regional stakeholder engagement.
