Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel – MNC Jobs in Dubai, UAE/Dubai at Qataryello
Market leading manufacturing brand with global operations. Responsibilities: Â Provide support and independently handle legal and compliance matters arising in the IMEA region, including, but not limited to: Â Providing strategic advice to members of the regional management team and other stakeholders. Providing legal support for the IMEA region relating particularly to commercial, corporate (including M&A), governance, and employment matters. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including complex and multi-jurisdictional contracts;
develop contract strategies. Supporting with customer claim management, advice in warranty and product liability cases. Managing and coordinating legal disputes. Conducting internal compliance investigations. Identifying, reporting, monitoring, and mitigating legal and compliance risks. Monitoring the development of laws and regulations as well as best practices relevant for the Company; communicating such developments within the organization. Developing and conducting legal and compliance trainings.
Developing and implementing internal policies and processes. Corporate housekeeping for subsidiaries in the IMEA region. Instructing and supervising external counsel. Communicating with authorities. Â Additional Responsibilities: Â Legal support to group functions and global or cross-regional projects and working groups. Supporting the regional Legal & Compliance team.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in law from a reputable university, qualified to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. 8-10 years of relevant work experience as in-house counsel in an international company, preferably in manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG. Work experience in an international/regional law firm is a plus. Work experience in relevant IMEA jurisdictions. Â #J-18808-Ljbffr
