Role Description The Senior Lawyer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Senior Lawyer will handle complex matters across corporate, commercial, real estate, and regulatory domains, including advising clients, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing legal opinions. Daily responsibilities include managing litigation files, preparing pleadings and submissions, representing clients before courts and relevant authorities, and overseeing dispute resolution strategies. The role also involves supervising junior lawyers, coordinating with external stakeholders, and ensuring all work aligns with UAE laws and firm standards. The Senior Lawyer will support business development efforts by contributing to client relationships, legal insights, and thought leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in UAE corporate, commercial, and real estate law, with proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
- Extensive litigation and dispute resolution experience, including courtroom advocacy, legal drafting of memoranda and pleadings, and case strategy development.
- Advanced legal research, analytical, and advisory skills, with the ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and case law and provide clear, practical opinions.
- Demonstrated client management and communication skills, including the ability to explain legal issues clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term professional relationships.
- Leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior lawyers, coordinating case teams, and contributing to internal knowledge-sharing and professional development.
- Licensed to practice law in the UAE or eligible for registration, with a law degree from a recognized university; prior experience in reputable law firms or judicial roles is highly beneficial.
- High level of professional ethics, discretion, and integrity, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills and prior experience in the Dubai legal market are considered strong advantages.
