Job Overview
A law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Attorney to handle diverse and impactful family law cases. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and client-focused environment, handling matters such as divorce, custody, support, and property division. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in family law and a passion for delivering excellent client service.

This position allows for remote work, with occasional in-person attendance required for court appearances and client meetings.

Duties

Handle a wide range of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and property division matters.

Represent clients in court, making in-court appearances as needed.

Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Provide clients with timely legal advice and case updates.

Collaborate with paralegals, fellow attorneys, and staff to efficiently manage cases.

Attend mediation and settlement conferences to negotiate favorable outcomes.

Maintain excellent communication with clients to build trust and ensure support.

Stay informed about legal developments in family law to offer the best client representation.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law.

Active admission to the Washington State Bar and in good standing.

Exceptional writing skills, with writing samples required.

Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.

Client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Strong references attesting to expertise and professionalism.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

Active membership in the Washington State Bar (required).

Skills

Proven ability to handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and property division.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Strong negotiation and mediation skills.

High attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward client issues and case management.
