Duties
and Responsibilities
The Senior Director for the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy and Law School Professional and Continuing Legal Education provides high level administrative and operational leadership and oversight for the Beazley Institute for Health Law. In support of the Institute’s mission and in partnership with the Faculty Director(s), the Senior Director’s primary areas of responsibility include:
Strategic planning
Administrative oversight and supervision
Marketing and external relations
Student advising
In addition, the Senior Director innovates and sets trends in professional and continuing legal education to help Loyola University Chicago become recognized as the leading provider of continuing legal education in the State of Illinois. The Senior Director is responsible for partnering with Law School Leadership, and Faculty experts in current and emerging areas of Law to oversee and execute the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and events related to the professional development and continuing education for Law Students, Alumni, and members of the legal community.
Minimum Education
and/or Work Experience
Master’s Degree level or JD Degree required.
Previous experience in University administration or working with Students preferred. 5+ years of related experience with an excellent understanding of Law curriculum.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor Degree.
Previous experience in University Administration or working with Students preferred.
Excellent written communication skills in a variety of media.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal direction.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
Master’s Degree level or JD Degree required.
Computer Skills
Proficient computer skills, including ability to use MS Office Suite.
