WE ARE GROWING!! Burnetti, P.A. has been serving the injured people of Florida for 31 years and is seeking a full time Litigation Paralegal for our Sarasota office with experience in Personal Injury.
*The firm will not consider applicants that are tobacco users.*
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay Range: Based on experience
Essential Job Functions:
Communicating and corresponding with clients, providers and others in the legal community;
Maintaining client files;
Schedule and manage deadlines;
Review, analyze and summarize case files;
Review, draft and file legal documents such as discovery responses, motions and other pleadings for attorneys;
Assisting attorneys with preparation of cases for trial
Attending trial with attorneys and assisting throughout trial
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
A minimum of 2 years as a litigation paralegal (experience with Personal Injury)
Ability to proficiently prioritize a heavy work load
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understand legal terminology and procedures;
Critical thinking skills with great attention to detail and accuracy;
Ability to work independently as well as a team player;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Sharepoint;
Experience with NEOS Case Management (Needles) software is a plus
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not necessary
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma and/or GED Required
Completion of an Accredited Paralegal program and/or certificate preferred
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s preferred or comparable work experience
