Position: Senior Counsel for Wealth Distribution Legal

The Senior Counsel will join the Canadian Wealth Distribution Legal Team, providing legal advice on registered plans and related products. You will engage with cross-functional partners including compliance, risk, and marketing, delivering risk-based legal support for TD’s wealth businesses. This senior role emphasizes collaboration and strategic input into the legal aspects of financial products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on registered plan matters
• Advise on compliance with the Income Tax Act
• Monitor and implement regulatory changes
• Maintain and update compliance documentation
• Support the design of registered plans
Requirements:
• Law degree and qualification to practice in Ontario
• 6+ years of post-call legal experience
• Strong knowledge of The Securities Act and CIRO rules
• Experience in wealth product regulation
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
