We are hiring a Senior Counsel to become a key member of our small but high-impact legal team. This role offers the opportunity to provide strategic legal guidance on a wide range of real estate and construction matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate leases, building leases, and land purchase agreements
Advise on and assess legal risks related to joint venture transactions
Draft and negotiate real estate documents, including amendments, estoppels, SNDAs, broker agreements, and subleases
Draft and negotiate construction-related contracts (e.g., general contractor agreements)
Support real estate assets throughout their lifecycle, including permits, zoning, licensing, and construction oversight
Resolve pre-litigation landlord disputes and tenant occupancy compliance matters
Manage multiple outside counsel relationships and deliverables
Collaborate with executive leadership to optimize the real estate portfolio and support ongoing growth
Review lease provisions and provide timely, business-focused legal advice
Must-Have Qualifications
JD and active membership in the California State Bar
5–10 years of legal experience in real estate transactions and leasing
Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts
Prior in-house legal experience
Preferred Qualifications
Background with a top-tier law firm
Familiarity with zoning, land use, and permitting processes
