Contracts Specialist
Location – Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
2 Years contract – direct hire
Responsibilities:
Support line management by organizing and maintaining logs and files (both digital and physical), ensuring a systematic approach for easy access to information.
After client contract award, independently prepare prequalification documents and Request for Quotations (RFQs) for low-risk and/or small-size contracts.
Lead negotiations and manage low-risk contracts, with exposure to negotiating and drafting medium-risk contracts. Draft internal approval sheets and secure the necessary approvals for all contracts.
Post-contract award, manage subcontracts, including drafting, reviewing, and approving subcontract notices, amendments, change requests, and change orders, and formalizing the closeout process.
Promote high-quality collaboration and teamwork, ensuring effective cooperation across teams and departments.
Work in close partnership with colleagues to achieve organizational goals and tasks.
Foster transparency and cooperation across different teams, functions, regions, and countries.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification with proven experience in contracts and/or commercial management. At least a degree holder with 5 years of experience, or a diploma holder with 6 years of experience. Preferred fields of study include Law, Engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying (QS), or equivalent.
Solid knowledge of the technical, contractual, and commercial aspects of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.
Experience in the offshore oil & gas industry is advantageous.Familiarity with Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessels is a plus.
Knowledge of vessel chartering and/or offshore construction/installation is beneficial.
Proficient in both oral and written English communication.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A detail-oriented team player.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
