This position is for a fixed term contract (7 months) with Cargill Law (contracts) team. The contract can be extended on mutual interest, requirements and needs.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Contracts Lawyer will be aligned to the Global Contracts Group supporting all enterprises of Cargill globally with focus on the APAC region. This is a fixed term contractual role for a period of 7 months based at Gurgaon.
Key Accountabilities
• Independently drafting, reviewing and negotiating of various commercial contracts to meet business requirements
• End to end contract lifecycle management using CLM tool and initiating timely actions to finalize the request
• Handling contractual correspondence, draft with the internal businesses, vendors and customers • Close collaboration with various business stakeholders, contract specialists, country commercial lawyers, specialist lawyers and paralegals
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of related work experience in reviewing commercial contracts
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Qualification: LLB
• Years of experience: 6 – 10
• Should be able to independently work on English language commercial contracts – procurement, confidentiality, IT, Sales, other mid-high complexity contracts
• Comfortable working with CLM technology
• Must have experience in handling commercial contracts
• Should have exposure to working in a contracts role in a corporate (not only a law firm)
• The incumbent is expected to work 40 hours a week which may extend depending on the business requirement
• Must be open to a fixed term contractual role for 6 months
• Exposure to global commercial contracts is an added advantage.
