This role is responsible for supporting tender and bid activities, administering project contracts, managing commercial risks, reviewing contractual obligations, and driving commercial outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Project Management, Procurement, Finance and Legal to protect the Company's commercial interests and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, commercial terms and contractual conditions to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare cost estimates, pricing models, budgets and commercial evaluations to support competitive bid submissions.
- Perform commercial and financial analysis, including profitability, cash flow and pricing assessments.
- Manage contractual matters including variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), change orders and dispute resolution.
- Monitor contractual obligations, project milestones and commercial deliverables to ensure compliance.
- Prepare contractual correspondence, commercial reports and management updates.
- Maintain accurate contract records, commercial documentation and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, Finance and Legal throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in contract management, commercial management or tender commercial functions.
- Experience in rail, construction, infrastructure, engineering or project-based industries is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in contract administration, tender evaluation and commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of contract management, commercial risk assessment, claims, variation orders and EOT submissions.
- Experience in cost estimation, pricing strategy, budgeting and financial modelling will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with contractual frameworks, including CIPAA, is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and analytical skills.
