What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Conceptualize and create a searchable digital database of public sector donor conditions
Re-design the existing tracking mechanism for public sector donor conditions and provide training to users
Conduct reviews of compliance with Delegation of Authority and Resource Mobilization policies
Develop training materials and conduct webinars focused on negotiating non-standard public sector agreements
Create knowledge management resources for the organization regarding public sector agreements
What is Required (Qualifications):
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field of law (e.g., international law, commercial law)
A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in relevant legal practice
In-depth knowledge and experience with negotiation of public sector donor contracts with a UN organization
Familiarity with donor conditions imposed by public sector partners
Fluency in English; knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience conducting desk reviews for compliance with relevant policy and/or legal standards
Familiarity with UNICEF’s contribution agreements and/or with UNICEF’s Legal Office and Public Partnerships Division
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with different stakeholders
