Join a team in the Property and Casualty Insurance Defense In‑house Legal department, where your professional growth is a priority. You will manage litigation files independently, engaging in case conferences, arbitrations, and mediations. Collaboration with team members is emphasized to ensure exceptional client experiences and legal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Independently manage litigation files from start to finish
• Draft pleadings, opinions, and necessary legal documents
• Attend case conferences, mediations, and arbitrations
• Conduct private arbitrations and License Appeal Tribunal hearings
• Ensure efficient resolutions for disputed claims
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor or Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Minimum seven years of relevant legal experience
• At least five years focused on Accident Benefits litigation
• Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Intermediate knowledge of CAT files handling
