Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Secretary to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to attorney, ensuring the smooth operation of our law practice. This role requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, particularly in workers compensation. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for managing legal documents, filing, setting doctor appointments for clients, sending correspondence, client phone calls and assisting with case management.

Duties

Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other agencies.
Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
Assist in the preparation of trial materials and case files.
Maintain organized files for all cases, ensuring easy access to information.
Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
Support attorneys in drafting correspondence and other legal documents.
Utilize legal case management software such to track case progress.

Skills

Proficiency in workers compensation is highly desirable.
Strong interviewing skills to effectively gather client information.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in legal case management systems is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
