Job Description
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have significant experience defending professional liability matters and be capable of independently managing complex cases while contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s practice.
What You Will Be Doing
- Handle complex professional liability defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Represent professionals and businesses in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Develop case strategy and provide trusted legal counsel to clients.
- Draft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy and practice growth.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support the development of the litigation team.
Experience You Will Need
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to both the New York and New Jersey Bars (required).
- Senior attorney or partner-level experience.
- Significant experience in professional liability defense.
- Strong litigation, legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage a sophisticated caseload and client relationships.
- Leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
