Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked international law firm seeking a Managing or Senior Associate M and A and Private Equity to join its New York, NY office.
This is a purely transactional role for an attorney who enjoys running complex deal work, partnering closely with clients, and operating comfortably in a fast paced environment.
The team sits within a well established corporate platform with a collaborative, partner accessible culture and meaningful responsibility for senior associates who demonstrate strong judgment and ownership.
The Opportunity
You will advise on mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters, supporting clients through the full deal cycle including diligence, drafting and negotiation of definitive documents, and coordinating internal and external workstreams through signing and closing. The role is based in New York with an in office expectation five days per week.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a Managing or Senior Associate M and A and Private Equity with:
- 4 to 7 years of law firm experience focused on mergers and acquisitions
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Strong deal execution skills including diligence management, drafting, and negotiation support
- Excellent academic credentials and strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment with in office presence five days per week

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $310,000 to $420,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
