About The Practice:
Approximately 70% Corporate / Commercial Advisory and 30% Dispute Resolution.
We are looking for a Senior Associate who is comfortable working across both corporate advisory and dispute resolution matters, with a stronger emphasis on corporate and day-to-day commercial legal work.
Requirements:
o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a reputable University in Indonesia or overseas.
o Approximately 6–9 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with substantial experience in a law firm.
o Strong experience in corporate and commercial legal work, particularly:
- day-to-day legal advisory and retainer work for corporate clients;
- drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements;
- corporate governance and general corporate matters;
- business licensing and regulatory matters;
- regulatory compliance and risk assessment;
- legal due diligence;
- corporate transactions, restructuring, investment, and M&A exposure;
- employment and manpower advisory would be an advantage; and
- preparation of legal opinions and practical legal recommendations.
o Meaningful experience in dispute resolution, including:
- pre-dispute assessment and dispute strategy;
- civil and commercial disputes;
- court proceedings;
- arbitration and alternative dispute resolution;
- settlement and commercial negotiations;
- employment and industrial relations disputes; and
- regulatory investigations and/or corporate-related criminal matters would be an advantage.
o Able to advise clients both before problems arise and when matters have already become contentious.
o Strong leadership capability, including the ability to lead teams, delegate tasks effectively, and supervise junior lawyers.
o Admitted Indonesian Advocate / PERADI qualification, and comfortable independently handling court proceedings when required.
o Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to independently communicate with international clients, foreign counsel, and overseas stakeholders.
o Mandarin proficiency would be a significant advantage.
