Seeking Experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal Jobs in St. Louis, MO at Cantor Injury Law
Cantor Injury Law is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented paralegal with at least 5 years of personal injury litigation experience who can independently manage the day-to-day needs of a litigation caseload for multiple attorneys.
The ideal candidate is experienced, proactive, and understands how to move a personal injury case forward. This person should be able to step into a case, understand what needs to be done, and take ownership of completing the work accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage personal injury cases throughout the litigation process.
- Assist attorneys with cases from the filing of suit through settlement, mediation, and trial.
- Draft comprehensive demand letters that clearly present liability, injuries, treatment, damages, and the client’s overall claim.
- Prepare detailed medical summaries and medical chronologies, including treatment, diagnoses, procedures, imaging, and ongoing care.
- Prepare detailed billing summaries, including medical providers, dates of service, charges, payments, balances, and outstanding amounts.
- Review and organize medical records and bills to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and outstanding documentation.
- Prepare and organize discovery responses and assist with drafting discovery requests and responses.
- Assist with pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial.
- Prepare deposition materials, exhibits, medical records, timelines, witness information, and other case materials.
- Track litigation deadlines, court dates, discovery deadlines, depositions, hearings, and other critical dates.
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, defense counsel, experts, and other parties.
- Assist with insurance claims, liens, subrogation issues, and settlement documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files.
- Enter and maintain accurate case information in the firm’s case-management system.
- Follow up on outstanding records, bills, discovery, authorizations, and other case-related items.
- Identify missing information and proactively follow up to keep cases moving.
- Support attorneys with trial.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and outstanding needs.
Skills
- Minimum 5 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience.
- Demonstrated experience drafting personal injury demand letters.
- Strong experience preparing medical summaries/chronologies.
- Strong experience preparing medical billing summaries.
- Knowledge of personal injury claims, litigation, and settlement processes.
- Strong understanding of medical records and personal injury damages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned cases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management software.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Has excellent time management skills and able to meet deadlines under pressure and in fast paced environment
- Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks
- Must possess knowledge of motions, discovery, litigation documents, court rules and procedures, and court deadlines
Education
- Associates Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- High School Diploma
Experience Preferred
- 5 years – Personal Injury Paralegal with litigation experience
