RUNNER/FILE CLERK – AGS Ketchikan Jobs in Ketchikan, AK at Alaska General Seafoods
Our law firm is seeking an organized, self-starter to join our team as a legal case manager and work alongside attorneys to achieve clients’ goals. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our ideal applicant will have experience in case management and is skilled at drafting documents and conducting legal research. Compensation:
$26 – $33 hourly
Responsibilities:
Aid attorneys with all aspects of case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as requested
Examine legal documents to assure all legal requirements have been met
Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested
Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met
Provide recommendations to attorneys with regard to cost and time-effective ways to accomplish the client’s goals
Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral are needed
Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once
Extensive experience conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents is essential
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable – High school diploma is required
Comfortable with computer programs, such as spreadsheet presentation, word processing, and case management software
Must have 2 years of case management experience
