We are looking for a paralegal to deal with personal injury claims. The position is initially for pre-litigated files however you will be provided the opportunity to progress these to a litigated stage. You will efficiently handle claims and will manage your own caseload. You will be assessing and resolving liability, and bringing claims to a settlement.
You will be expected to:
– Handle a caseload of Personal injury files
– Use the OIC/ MOJ Portal and manage relevant time limits
– Resolve liability issues and assess prospects of success
– Quantifying claims and reaching an amicable settlement where possible
– Assessing medical evidence and determining any further steps to be taken
– Comfortable dealing any technical arguments raised
– Resolving liability issues, assessing prospects and where necessary preparing the matter for litigation
– Create a good relationship between various institutions and maintaining a good relationship with clients
The ideal candidate should:
– Have qualifications in law such as a law degree
– Have excellent written and oral communication, including a confident telephone manner
– Must have attention to detail
– Excellent organisation skills and work ethics
– Be capable of providing an excellent level of client care
– Be able to work independently
– Comply with the SRA Code of Conduct
IMMEDIATE START
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year
There is a generous bonus scheme and there is the opportunity to progress in the Firm and move into other areas.
There is an opportunity for a training contract for the right candidate, conditional on performance at the firm.
