A leading international law firm is looking for a Risk Paralegal to join their London offices.
The Risk Paralegal role is a newly created position that sits within the Risk & Compliance team and offers significant scope for development a pathway to qualify as a Risk Lawyer.
This is an exciting opportunity ideally for a motivated professional with experience in Compliance/Business Acceptance/Risk within a law firm who is looking to pivot into a broader Risk Advisor role.
Key Responsibilities for the Risk Paralegal role:
Assisting with day-to-day risk and compliance matters, including conflicts of interest, AML, sanctions, and regulatory queries.
Responding to a broad range of internal queries, including those related to professional conduct issues, data protection, and potential data breaches.
Supporting the team with legal and regulatory research, tracking developments, and contributing to policy and procedure updates.
Providing project support across a variety of risk initiatives and regulatory compliance projects.
Working closely with the Director of Risk to assist with the management of professional indemnity insurance matters.
Liaising with partners, lawyers, and business services teams to communicate risk-related requirements and provide guidance.
Qualifications:
A Law Degree is preferable.
Previous experience in a Business Acceptance, Compliance, or Risk team within a law firm (desirable).
Proactive and detail-oriented, with a high level of professional integrity.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business.
