We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Risk and Compliance Officer to ensure our organization remains compliant with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with expertise in FICA, NCA, PoPI, and PAIA to play a critical role in maintaining compliance and mitigating risk across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to FICA, NCA, PoPI, PAIA, and other relevant regulations.

Policy Development – Draft, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.

Monitoring & Reporting – Conduct compliance checks, audits, and risk assessments, reporting findings to senior management.

Training & Awareness – Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate employees on compliance best practices.

Incident Management – Investigate compliance breaches and implement corrective actions.

FICA Compliance – Oversee and maintain Risk Management and Compliance Programme (RMCP) compliance and perform ad hoc audits.

Stakeholder Collaboration – Liaise with legal teams, regulatory bodies, and internal departments to ensure compliance alignment.

Data Protection – Oversee data security measures in accordance with PoPI and PAIA regulations.

What We’re Looking For

LLB Degree (BA/BCOM) and Admission as an Attorney.

Minimum 2 years post-admission experience in a compliance-related role.

Extensive knowledge and practical implementation experience of FICA and NCA legislation, including RMCP compliance.

Strong risk assessment, audit, and policy development skills.

Excellent communication and advisory skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
