A commercial, forward thinking law firm are looking for a residential property paralegal (with fee earning experience), to join their team and deliver a high-quality service and care to the firm’s established client base.
You will be running your own caseload from instruction to post-completion and dealing with both sales and purchases of properties. As you will be running your own caseload (with some supervision) you must be able to hit the ground running with the ability to deal with the full residential transaction.
Key duties will include:
Submitting AP1 and SDLT forms
Drafting reports on title
Liaising with clients and third parties (mortgage lenders etc.)
Dealing with enquiries
File opening
Companies House Registrations
AML checks
File closing including matter balances
Post completion tasks
Sending out draft contract packs
Scheduling of deeds to mortgage lenders
Drafting agreements, deeds and contracts
Reviewing and reporting on title
It is essential that you have at least 12 months’ experience as a residential property paralegal and match the criteria above to be considered. Excellent drafting skills and an attention to detail also needed. Exceptional communication and client skills are also essential as you will be expected to build rapport and relationships with established and new clients and act on your own initiative. You must also be able to conduct searches with minimal supervision.
