ASAP Oculus Legal Group are representing a top legal 500 firm who are looking for a qualified, experienced residential property solicitor to join their team. Main tasks and responsibilities:
Dealing with leasehold and freehold sales and purchases (including off plan and new builds), auction sales and purchases, re-mortgages, and equity release from instruction to post-completion. Dealing with high-net-worth individuals and prime property. Drafting additional enquiries and drafting amendments to the contract, transfer, and any supplemental documents. Dealing with solicitor and client enquiries and preparing reports on title. Liaising with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and third parties throughout the transaction.
Assisting on matters relating to voluntary and statutory lease extensions. Assisting the Private Client and Family Teams on matters including transfers following death and transfers following relationship breakdowns. Dealing with client onboarding including gathering information relating to source of wealth and proof of funds in line with AML requirements and the firm’s compliance procedures. Management of own files. Assisting junior members of the team including paralegals and trainees.
Ensuring that file checklists are kept up to date for internal and external use. The successful candidate will be working independently within a growing team. They will be provided with a high degree of
autonomy
and will be encouraged to proactively support the team’s business development activities. There may be the opportunity to travel as part of their exceptional International global law network, as well other
