Position: Research Scientist / Group leader – IPM
Experience – 12 – 16 years
Qualification – M Pharm
RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing patent landscaping for various markets.
Perform state-of-the-art-search and prior art search including in validations and NI basis.
Analyse patent trends and technology
Draft, file and prosecute patent applications.
Perform FTO analysis and provide formulation strategy clearances to the R&D for global market.
To review the literature alert patents/applications and respond with proper conclusions.
Review literature, patents or applications alerts and respond with proper conclusions.
Respond to patent related queries raised by the marketing team.
Respond to IP related queries by RA, Marketing and FDA.
Support attorneys for litigation to NL and drafts.
Coordinate and interact with R&D scientists.
Monitor patent prosecutions.
Follow up with legal bodies and external attorneys.
Handling a team size of 3-4 subordinates.
Prepare freedom to operate statements.
DESIRED SKILLS
Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly within the IPM team.
Strong oral & written communication.
Excellent knowledge of patent and exclusivity certification, label carve out for US market.
Good experience in product selection for the global market.
Hands-on experience in handling patents and global litigations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, timeline-driven environment.
Innovative and creative mindset.
Expertise in patent portfolio management
Strong inter – personal Skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
