Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with various regulations, specifically HIPAA regulations .
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that align with industry regulations and standards.
Monitor and ensure adherence to HIPAA requirements and any other applicable requirements.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance risks and areas for improvement.
Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related issues and best practices.
Collaborate with management to address compliance concerns and develop corrective action plans as needed.
Prepare reports on compliance activities for senior management and regulatory agencies.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization’s operations.
Experience
Proven experience in compliance management within the healthcare industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of FDA regulations, HIPAA guidelines, Medicare policies, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and JCAHO standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey compliance information across all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all aspects of work.
