About the Role
We are hiring a part-time Remote Litigation Support Assistant to handle the steady stream of digital case material flowing into our active files. This role supports the attorney and paralegal by managing electronic discovery, audio and video files, transcription orders, public records requests, and other similar tasks.
The position is fully remote. Hours are flexible and scale with case load, so you will work as needed rather than on a fixed weekly schedule.
What You Will Do
- Download electronic discovery from prosecutor portals, law enforcement file sharing platforms, and opposing counsel transmissions. Save and organize each file in the correct client folder.
- Convert video files (.mp4 and similar formats) into audio files (.mp3) for transcription.
- Upload audio files to outside transcription services, monitor turnaround, and route completed transcripts back into the case file.
- Prepare and send Open Records Act requests to Georgia law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, court clerks, and other custodians. Track responses and follow up.
- Handle similar digital file and records management tasks that come up during the life of a case.
What We Are Looking For
- Some legal or administrative office experience.
- Strong organizational habits and close attention to detail.
- Comfort with cloud file systems (OneDrive, Dropbox, or similar) and basic audio and video conversion tools.
- Reliable home internet and a secure work environment.
- Discretion with confidential client material.
- Clear written communication in plain English.
Why This Role Works
Work from home on a flexible schedule.
Real exposure to litigation practice without the in-office demands.
