We are currently inviting applications from seasoned Legal/Judicial transcription professionals with substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position offers a fully remote role for Independent Contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Create precise verbatim transcripts from audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Maintain strict adherence to client-specific style guides and deadlines.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in ensuring transcript accuracy.
Required Skills
Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Superior listening skills and a keen understanding of legal terminology.
Excellent literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Proficiency in typing with a focus on both speed and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
Capacity to handle sensitive audio/text content and pass a background check.
Qualifications
Previous experience in legal transcription or related fields is essential.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in transcription are preferable.
Court reporting students may also be considered.
