We are currently seeking skilled Legal/Judicial transcription professionals with robust experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility of an Independent Contractor position.
Key Responsibilities
Transcribe audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings with precision.
Produce verbatim transcripts by strictly adhering to established style guides.
Ensure exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all transcription tasks.
Required Skills
Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.
Excellent listening abilities and an aptitude for discerning verbal nuances.
Strong adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.
Exceptional literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
Proficient typing skills with a focus on both speed and accuracy.
Familiarity with legal terminology is necessary.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Capability to process challenging audio/text content (which may contain sensitive material).
Must be able to pass a background check.
Qualifications
Significant experience in legal transcription or a related field is required.
Court reporting students will also be considered for this role.
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; further training in court reporting or transcription is preferred.
