Remote California Litigation Attorney, Contract Position Jobs in California at Equal Justice Lawyers
Equal Justice Lawyers is seeking a California-licensed attorney to assist with plaintiff-side litigation matters on a fully remote, independent contractor basis.
This position is ideal for an attorney seeking meaningful litigation work with the freedom to create and manage their own schedule. Workload and assignments may be structured around your availability.
Compensation: $50 to $120 per hour, depending on experience and assignment
Location: Fully remote
Schedule: Flexible, attorney-controlled schedule
License Requirement: Active California Bar membership required
The attorney will assist with personal injury, employment, ADA, Unruh Act, and related civil litigation matters. Assignments may include:
- Drafting demand letters, complaints, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and trial briefs
- Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
- Managing discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, and law and motion matters
- Reviewing client records and evaluating potential claims
- Assisting with cases from inception through resolution
Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills are required. Prior plaintiff-side litigation experience is preferred. Experience with California employment law, FEHA, the Labor Code, ADA litigation, the Unruh Act, or federal court practice is a plus.
