Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional residential and commercial real estate law and possess the ability to navigate complex legal issues related to property transactions, leasing, and development, including review of title for our title agency. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and support on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
Conduct thorough legal research to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Assist clients in understanding their rights and obligations under various real estate laws.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws affecting real estate.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in New York State.
Proven experience in real estate law or a related field.
Strong research skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive legal research efficiently.
Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
