Relationship manager, United States, based in Dallas, Houston or Chicago- remote and onsite with clients $60-70k + up to 100% bonus + Health, Dental & Vision

About Alacrity

Alacrity works with law firms to grow their businesses using our proprietary technology.

This position sits within our business unit focussed on supporting law firms across the US to grow. We do this by leveraging our proprietary data analytics which models law firms and their competitors in the US and helps law firm leaders to answer questions such as:

  1. How can I grow my firm at a faster rate than my peers?
  2. Where should I open a new office and with what specialties?
  3. Who should I hire?

We are not recruiters. In fact – we feel the model for recruiting attorneys is broken, so we set out to do something better and way more effective that delivers a better experience for our clients.

We are strategists and consultants working at the executive level to deliver results to firms whose growth would otherwise be constrained by a dysfunctional talent market.

This Role

Following a number of recent client wins we are growing our team and as a UK based company we require support on the ground in the US to deliver. Day-to day you will be managing a portfolio of clients across the US. Your stakeholders will be senior executives and partners from law firms of all sizes and you will need to manage them to a successful conclusion whilst delivering a world class client experience. This could involve presenting a dataset to an executive team and answering questions or working with a firm’s partners to leverage their networks to acquire talent.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • A confident and articulate communicator with first class project management skills who instills confidence in their clients through every interaction
  • Advanced customer success skills and a high level of EQ to anticipate client questions and deal with issues with a measured approach that supports the successful delivery of the project
  • The ability to manage multiple clients, stakeholders and projects simultaneously without dropping any balls
  • You don't need to be an attorney, but an understanding of how law firms operate and make money would be very useful and help you stand out. Law firm BDM’s or client relationship managers would also be an interesting profile
  • Experience in executive search or lateral hiring of attorneys could be an asset but not essential as you do not need to sell but you do need to be comfortable talking to people with empathy and understanding
  • From time to time you may need to make calls on behalf of the clients so you should feel comfortable on the phone
  • Motivated self starter – Whilst we have a structured process, you won't have a manager standing over you so you need to be comfortable structuring your day and managing tasks in an orderly fashion
