Your Role

This role is ideal for legal professionals looking for an internal position within a dynamic company. You will work closely with the General Counsel in a team of two, focusing primarily on Private Equity and Venture Capital. There is ample opportunity for broader professional development.

As Legal Counsel, you will be pivotal in managing the regulatory aspects of our business, particularly in fund formation, investment documentation, and financial regulation/compliance. You will collaborate closely with the General Counsel, CFO, and the investment team.

Key Responsibilities

Establishing new funds (feeders, fund of funds)

Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as fund agreements, PPM, KID, etc.

Reviewing marketing materials and other documentation for legal compliance

Staying updated on relevant laws and regulations, with a focus on AIFMD and broader financial legislation

Providing legal support to the sales team

Your Profile

Master’s degree in law

4-8 years of experience as a lawyer or corporate lawyer within a financial institution

Availability for 4 or 5 days a week

Strong legal writing skills with the ability to draft complex legal documents

Knowledge of taxation is a plus, but not required

Fluency in Dutch and English

Excellent understanding of Dutch financial regulations, including AIFMD
