Position: Regulatory Counsel at Law Society of Ontario
Be a key player at the Law Society of Ontario as a Regulatory Counsel. In this hybrid position, you’ll ensure timely complaint resolution and risk assessments within the Intake & Resolution department.

With over seven years of experience in family law, civil litigation, and administrative law, you will substantiate and close regulatory issues effectively. Your responsibilities include preparing necessary legal documentation and collaborating with various departments to streamline complaint handling. You will also act as a resource for Intake & Resolution Officers, enhancing knowledge transfer in legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess incoming regulatory complaints thoroughly

• Prepare substantiation letters and closing documentation

• Engage with licensees to gather supporting materials

• Coordinate with departments for comprehensive regulatory responses

• Help develop policies addressing emerging regulatory issues

Requirements:

• LL.B or JD required, active member of Law Society

• 7+ years of legal experience in relevant fields

• Excellent communication and analytical skills

• Knowledge of legal mandates and professional conduct

• Ability to perform legal research for policy development
