Overview
A well-established and growing financial services organization is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join its risk and governance function.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with operational, regulatory, and client-facing teams to ensure adherence to statutory requirements, internal controls, and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will serve as a key compliance resource, supporting regulatory obligations, process governance, risk mitigation initiatives, and operational oversight activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
- Review and validate operational updates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies.
- Identify, assess, and escalate regulatory and compliance risks while supporting remediation efforts.
- Conduct compliance reviews and quality assurance checks across client and operational records.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, external enquiries, audits, inspections, and information requests.
- Oversee onboarding and due diligence processes, ensuring regulatory obligations and internal standards are met.
- Track, monitor, and follow up on outstanding compliance matters and corrective action plans.
- Provide guidance and support to operational teams on regulatory requirements and procedural matters.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Assist with training initiatives and ongoing compliance awareness programs.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Business, Finance, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional compliance qualification (ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- 5+ years of experience within compliance, governance, risk, regulatory oversight, or a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience handling regulatory reviews, compliance monitoring, quality assurance, or operational controls.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to business operations.
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
