Position: Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC)

As our practice grows, we are seeking a highly experienced Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our team in a full-time, in-office capacity at our Calgary location. This is a senior-level practitioner role suited to someone who thrives on complex files and operates with confidence and autonomy.

Role Overview

The RCIC will independently manage a diverse and demanding caseload spanning the full spectrum of Canadian immigration programs, with particular emphasis on Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications, Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams, and complex Permanent Residence (PR) matters. You will be responsible for providing strategic immigration advice, preparing and filing applications, managing client relationships, and staying current with IRCC policy changes.

This role requires a practitioner who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling challenging files with minimal supervision. You will work closely with the Principal RCIC and the broader team while independently owning your caseload.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management and Application Preparation

  • Independently manage a full caseload of Canadian immigration applications from initial assessment through to final decision
  • Prepare, review, and submit high-quality applications with accuracy and strict attention to IRCC requirements and processing standards
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify the optimal immigration pathway for each client
  • Develop and execute strategic immigration plans for complex and multi-step cases
  • Maintain organized, complete, and audit-ready client files at all stages of the process

LMIA and Employer Services

  • Manage the full LMIA application process from employer eligibility assessment through recruitment documentation, application submission, and ESDC correspondence
  • Advise employers on LMIA streams including High Wage, Low Wage, Global Talent Stream, and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program as applicable
  • Identify risks, flag compliance requirements, and guide employers through ESDC audit and review processes
  • Stay current with LMIA policy updates, processing trends, and employer compliance obligations

Provincial Nominee Programs

  • Manage Alberta PNP streams including AAIP streams (Alberta Opportunity Stream, Rural Renewal Stream, and others as applicable)
  • Assess client eligibility across streams and advise on optimal nomination strategy
  • Prepare nominations, respond to requests for information, and manage provincial correspondence
  • Monitor Alberta PNP draws, policy changes, and processing updates
  • Manage Express Entry profiles, Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) strategy, and post-ITA application preparation
  • Prepare and submit family sponsorship applications including spousal, common-law, conjugal, and dependent child sponsor ships
  • Handle work permit applications across streams including LMIA-exempt categories, post-graduation work permits, and intra-company transfers
  • Prepare study permit and visitor visa applications, including complex refusal histories
  • File and manage Permanent Residence applications across applicable federal and provincial pathways

Complex and Challenging Cases

  • Take ownership of cases involving prior refusals, inadmissibility issues, misrepresentation concerns, or procedural complications
  • Prepare well-reasoned submissions, legal arguments, and supporting documentation for high-risk or non-standard files
  • Identify and appropriately elevate matters requiring legal counsel
  • Apply sound judgment and critical thinking to cases where policy interpretation is required

Client Communication and Advisory

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout all stages of their file
