Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Headoffice in Docklands, Melbourne for a Registered Migration Agent (RMA) or Experienced Visa Processing Officer (Non RMA). The role involves providing professional advice on migration processes, managing visa applications, and ensuring compliance with immigration laws. You will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and monitoring visa applications, communicating with clients to understand their needs, staying updated on current immigration regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. The candidate will also provide guidance on compliance issues and address client queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your profile, your tasks may include:
- Strong knowledge of Visa Regulations, Immigration Law, and Visa Application Processes
- Proven skills in Case Management, Documentation, and Attention to Detail
- Excellent Communication, Client Relationship Management, and Interpersonal Skills
- Problem-Solving, Time Management, and Multitasking Abilities
- Proficiency in Computer Literacy and Familiarity with Visa Processing Portals
- Certification as a Registered Migration Agent is highly valued
- Experience in the education or migration consultancy industry is beneficial
- Fluency in English; additional regional language proficiency will be an advantage
- Proactive attitude with a commitment to staying updated on migration policies and regulations
- Preparing and lodging visa applications (Student, General Skilled Migration, Visitor, Employer-Sponsored)
- Assisting with Skills Assessment applications
- Conducting legal research and preparing documentation for compliance
- Communicating with clients, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the process
Who We're Looking For
We are open to two types of candidates:
🔹 Option 1: Registered Migration Agent (RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as RMA / working under RMA
- MARA registration required
- Strong communication and case management skills
- Ability to provide accurate migration advice and handle cases independently
🔹 Option 2: Experienced Visa Processing Officer (Non-RMA)
- 2+ years of experience working under an RMA in a migration agency or legal setting
- Excellent understanding of Australian visa systems and compliance
- Skilled in preparing high-quality applications with minimal supervision
- Team player who thrives in a back-office support role
