Our client National Bank of Pakistan is looking for a Regional Manager – Recovery Support in Karachi

In line with our strategy, the Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professional(s) for the following position in the area of Risk Management.
The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following position:
Position / Job Title:Regional Manager – Recovery Support (AVP / VP)
Reporting to:
Unit Head – Recovery Support – Retail and Program Lending Division
Educational /Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university /college / institute recognized by HEC of Pakistan
- Candidate having L.L.B degree and / or any other relevant certification will bepreferred
Experience:
- Minimum 06 years of experience in a commercial bank out of which 03 years inthe field of recovery and / or litigation
- Candidates having working in large scale / public sector organizations and / orbanking legal experience will be preferred
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- Should be aware of legal and regulatory environment
- Goal oriented, result driven with ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks withdeadlines
- Well conversant with MS Office
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities
:
- To lead coordination with the bank’s legal team, branches, regions and thecollection team for timely follow up of suit filed cases
- To liaise with external counsel for regular case updates, effective management oflitigation and facilitation of out of court settlements where appropriate
- To monitor progress of ongoing litigation, including court hearing follow ups andoutcomes and provide recommendations to the Unit Head – Legal Coordination
- To review legal documents and submissions during the course of proceedings and oversee administrative support provided to external counsel
- To monitor execution of decrees, including attachment and auction of mortgaged / pledged assets, to ensure timely realization of recovery proceed
- To evaluate performance of panel lawyers based on case progress and success rates and recommend retention, replacement or empanelment
- To review legal expenses and professional fee claims of external counsel foraccuracy and cost effectiveness prior to processing
- To oversee preparation and accuracy of MIS relating to suit filed cases and ensure timely reporting to supervisor
- To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Employment Type:
The employment will be on contractual basis for three years which may be renewed ondiscretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensationpackage and other benefits as per Banks Policy / rules.
