** About Our Client*
* Our client is global ecommerce company with a growing presence and increasing market share in the segment that they operate in. Due to an expansion in the business, there is now a newly created role for a Legal Counsel to join the team in Singapore supporting the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
** Responsibilities*
* Reporting to the Regional General Counsel, you will be part of the team supporting the business by providing advice to support the growth of the business while mitigating risks. This includes drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial agreements relating but not limited to sales and marketing, e-commerce and advising on other corporate matters including employment and human resource matters as they arise.
You will also ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures and laws and regulations in each local jurisdiction.
** Requirements**:
You are a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience with a strong and practical understanding of commercial and corporate law, ideally gained within the consumer or related industries and exposure to marketing and employment matters. You are commercial and
entrepreneurial
-minded, proactive, adaptable, flexible and enjoy being part of a
fast-paced environment
with varied work. Fluency in Mandarin will be essential for partnering with stakeholders in the North Asia region.
