Real Estate Specialist II
As a Real Estate Specialist II, you will support the City of Colorado Springs by managing real estate transactions and processes that further public projects and community growth. In this journey-level role, you will utilize your expertise in real property acquisitions, easements, property disposals, and legal documentation to ensure compliance with city policies and legal standards. This position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve results.
As a Real Estate Specialist II, you will:
Facilitate negotiations and manage transactions for real property interests, easements, and land parcels.
Review and prepare legal documents, including deeds, easements, and agreements, ensuring compliance with city standards.
Conduct property research, interpret title reports, and review surveys and legal descriptions.
Collaborate with developers, property owners, engineers, surveyors, attorneys, and internal departments to support real estate needs and resolve issues.
Track and maintain real estate records, prepare and maintain acquisition files, and prepare files for audits.
Prepare market analyses and value assessments for real property transactions.
Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Real estate principles, practices, and laws governing property transactions.
Legal documentation, including deeds, easements, surveys, and title reports.
GIS programs and research tools for property analysis.
Modern office technology, including Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
Ability to:
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
Analyze and interpret legal documents.
Collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts tactfully.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in real estate, business administration, finance, or related field.
Experience: Three years of full-time professional experience in real estate services or related field.
