Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law including personal injury, civil litigation, employment law, family law, criminal law, and probate. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, appearances in Court, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. The Attorney will play a crucial role in representing clients, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiations.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies.
Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
Provide legal advice on matters related to personal injury, civil litigation, employment law, family law, criminal law, and probate.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.
Maintain accurate records of case files and client communications.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients’ cases.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive representation.
Experience
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience in one or more areas of law such as personal injury, civil litigation, employment law, family law, criminal law, and probate is preferred.
Strong legal research skills with proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis or similar platforms.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
Prior experience in a legal administrative role is a plus but not required.
