We’ve been engaged by a leading law firm to identify an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for its New York office. This is a substantive, high-visibility role supporting a nationally recognized real estate practice on complex commercial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive reviews of title commitments and ALTA/NSPS surveys
Draft and negotiate title-related documents: objection letters, estoppels, subordination agreements, conveyance documents, etc.
Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, zoning consultants, and other third-party providers
Assist in all phases of transactional work, from diligence through closing and post-closing
Advise attorneys and clients on title, survey, and zoning standards
Prepare lease drafts and amendments
Maintain organized closing binders and manage follow-up documentation
Participate in mentoring junior team members and ongoing legal team development
Position Details:
Location: New York City
Schedule: Hybrid – 60% in-office, 40% remote
Role Type: Full-time, permanent
Ideal Candidate Profile:
6+ years of real estate paralegal experience at a law firm
Deep experience in commercial title, survey, and zoning diligence
Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills
Confident managing deadlines and working independently or as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree required
Tech savvy, especially with Microsoft Office; quick to learn new platforms
Professional, proactive, and client-focused mindset
