Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Real Estate Paralegal for a full-time role located in Miami Lakes, FL.
This position offers a salary up to $100,000 and is fully on-site.
What You Will Be Doing
Prepare and review legal documents, correspondence and closing binders to assist with commercial real estate transactions, including leases, purchases, sales and financing.
Coordinate title matters with title insurance companies and law firms on all stages pre-closing through post-closing.
Coordinate and supervise due diligence for sales, acquisitions, and commercial loans.
Assist with handling of commercial landlord-tenant issues.
Assist with local governmental inquiries and lien searches.
Form entities in connection with real estate acquisitions.
Establish and organize files; monitor deadlines; input information into file database.
Prepare summaries of key terms and critical dates for real property acquisitions.
Assist attorneys in drafting leases, contracts, and correspondence.
Coordinate discovery responses with outside counsel.
Manage litigation calendar for mediations, discovery, and court hearings.
Administer third party claims including initial review, internal communications, and coordination with insurers.
Administer invoices for outside counsel fees and other litigation costs.
Perform general clerical duties (photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, etc.).
Who You Are
2+ years’ experience in either law firm or in-house legal department as paralegal, preferably in commercial real estate, preferably in retail sector or with property management company.
EXCEPTIONAL written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
Able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week.
