Responsibilities:
Represent clients in personal injury accidents, including auto accidents, slip & fall incidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice, premises liability, and insurance disputes
Propound and respond to discovery requests
Conduct legal research and draft various litigation documents, including motions, complaints, pleadings, and settlement demands
Stay informed about government, state, and federal laws, regulations, and recent cases relevant to personal injury
Prepare for, take, and defend depositions
Attend hearings in both State and Federal courts as necessary
Assist the Lead Attorney in managing a heavy caseload, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines
Provide exceptional client service throughout the legal process
Assist in trial preparation and second chair trials when necessary
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing personal injury litigation and employment law, with trial experience preferred (we’re open to passionate candidates with less experience!)
Strong track record of successful case management and favorable outcomes
Strong knowledge of state and federal laws related to personal injury and employment law
Exceptional litigation skills, including experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
Strong negotiation and mediation skills to achieve favorable settlements for clients
Excellent research skills and proficiency in oral and written communication
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Demonstrated dedication to client advocacy and satisfaction
Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $150,000 – $200,000 per year, based on experience
