YOUR DAY

As a Legal Intake Specialist, you play a critical role in guiding individuals through healthcare-related concerns, helping them navigate medical claims, healthcare insurance issues, and client advocacy. You provide a professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable presence on the phone, ensuring that each caller receives the support they need. Your expertise in medical records, insurance claims, and healthcare documentation allows you to conduct thorough intake assessments, document key information, and assist in connecting clients with the appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Communication: Serve as the first point of contact, providing professional and empathetic assistance to individuals seeking support for medical claims and healthcare-related issues.
Intake & Assessment: Conduct detailed intake interviews to gather critical medical and insurance information, assessing each case with accuracy and care.
Medical Documentation: Review, organize, and document medical records, insurance claims, and billing information to ensure accurate case files.
Healthcare Guidance: Educate clients about available resources, claim processes, and next steps in their healthcare or insurance journey.
Call Volume Management: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely responses and thorough documentation.
Records & Compliance: Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and ensure all client interactions align with confidentiality regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with medical professionals, case managers, and insurance representatives to facilitate client support and case resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: 3-5 years in a medical, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare insurance role.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical records, insurance claims, and client advocacy.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing codes, and healthcare documentation.
Call Management: Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
Compliance: Experience maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and handling sensitive client information.
Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, health sciences, or a related field.
Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with personal injury claims, workers’ compensation, or mass tort cases.
